The fish has arrived and most, (but not all) is safely stowed in my freezer, wine is chilling in the fridge, and a leisurely dinner planned...

We had the Dover sole, floured and pan fried, not 'mommoxed about' as my godfather used to say, served with lemon (thank you!) baby potatoes, tender stem broccoli, sugar snap peas and carrots.

The smell of the fish as it hit the pan was wonderful, and the taste was as good.

Just to let you know that the fish order arrived at 9.35 this morning - a record delivery time I think! An excellent order as it always is.

Your crab was absolutely lovely.

Fish box has just arrived, a lovely selection, particularly the hake - my favourite.

Many thanks for the lemon. Cut into slices, open frozen they are perfect for throwing in a gin & tonic! No need for an ice cube to dilute the gin! Also works well on Dover Sole!

I just had to write to say how pleased I am with the huss you sent me. It is absolutely gorgeous and I am enjoying it cooked in different ways. So far I have tried frying, baking and poaching it. I am 73 and remember having huss and chips when I was young but have never been able to buy any since. Finding the lemon in the box was a lovely treat too! I will be back for more when I run out!

If so i would like some soft and hard but if not I will just place my order for the rest. I enjoyed my lovely fresh huss so much and am down to my last piece in the freezer!
